Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This policy covers the Everpin website, including the browser map, and the Everpin app for iPhone. Everpin does not ask you to create an Everpin account.
The browser map
Places you add in the browser are saved in that browser and written into the page address. The address is the share link. Anyone who has the link can see the places in it. Everpin does not run a server that stores your map.
- If you choose βPin where I am,β the browser asks for your location. The coordinates are sent to BigDataCloud to look up a place name.
- A search is sent to Photon, operated by Komoot, to find a city or place.
- The map picture is requested from OpenFreeMap. That request includes the area of the map you are looking at.
- Closing the browser does not delete a link you already copied. Clearing the site data in the browser removes the local copy.
The iPhone app
Pins, notes, lists, and the photos you attach are stored on your iPhone. If you are signed in to iCloud, they can sync in your private iCloud database. Everpin cannot open that database. Original photos can stay in your Photo Library. The copy attached to a pin is a smaller image.
- The camera and photo library are used only when you take or choose a photo for a pin.
- Location is used when you pin where you are, and to name a place.
- Purchases are handled by Apple with your Apple ID. Everpin does not receive your card number.
- The app uses Google Firebase for crash reports and basic usage events, such as which screen you opened or that a pin was saved. Those events are not your notes or your photos.
What we do not do
We do not sell your places, notes, or photos. We do not build an Everpin profile you log in to. Deleting the iPhone app removes the copy on that phone. iCloud data follows your iCloud account until you remove it there.
Children
Everpin is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
